My hope is that you never never never never and never need a lawyer and that you never have to step inside a courtroom. But if you ever do, I strongly recommend Davis Law Group. Jake and Shea are the kind of team you want when things get serious. Jake is no nonsense, he is honest, and direct. He’ll tell you when to slow down and when it’s time to stand your ground. Shea is meticulous, organized, and steady. She makes sure everything is prepared properly and that nothing falls through the cracks. (Trust me there is a lot.) She also listens, which matters more than people realize when you’re under pressure. That said, the lawyer and client relationship is a two way street. If you hire them, do your part. Follow their instructions. Be prepared. Don’t sabotage your own case by doing the opposite of what you’re being advised to do. After surprisingly being served by my ex-husband of 12 years for a dramatic change in child support, I desperately searched the internet for attorneys. After reading the main page of the Davis Law Group website on a Sunday, I felt like they may be a good match. I noticed that I could start a chat at that very moment. I wondered if it was legitimate because it wasn't a business day. I was pleasantly surprised by the attendant who forwarded the basics of my case on to Jay who called me shortly thereafter and spoke with me for over 40 minutes. He was very attentive and informative, even though he felt I would be better served by a lawyer in the Court District I was being assigned to. Even knowing he would not be getting my business, which I am disappointed by, he gave me many helpful insights and a connection to an amazing attorney in the district where my case is. To go a step further, after we ended our call, he phoned the recommended attorney to put in a good word for me and followed up with a joint email to the new attorney and me as an introduction along with the detailed notes he had taken during our call. I honestly do not know many people who go out of their way for strangers, especially when they could be handsomely compensated, but Jay did. In a time when the uncertainty and anxiety of the unknown is chewing me up inside, he offered me experiential insight that has informed and prepared me for a variety of outcomes I can begin to process and plan for.
